At FAR we decided to trim some of our trees.  They were blocking the building and making it hard for our new customers to find us.

The mechanic took the following pictures, I wish he would get a smart phone for better pictures...but...he loves his go to flip phone. :(

It sure does help, but the mechanic misses his shade.

My friend Barbara sent me these butterfly pictures.

This is what I use a shot glass for...green onions.

Dinner...

Carrots, celery, spinach and yellow squash over soba vermicelli noodles and chicken.

Dinner...

Salmon, polenta with collard greens, avocado and tomato in mayo.

Polenta with collard greens and a salad with Pacific Nori seaweed.

The polenta recipe comes from my old standard cookbook...

This is Addie playing pretend eating...Our family is all about the food!

Connor was playing with my camera and took some pictures...this one is the best.  Addie is saying "cheese".

I just finished this audio book...it had beliefs of lots of interesting people.  NPR had a radio series that featured people reading their beliefs.  People like Helen Keller, John Updike, William F. Buckley, Colin Powell, and everyday people in common professions.

Monday

I am a big shell lover.  So image to my surprise when I discovered my son-in-law's driveway was all shells!  The cutest little shells you have ever seen. I can't believe people drive over and crush these shells.

So I spent some time Saturday looking for shell in the driveway.  I even got some help.

There were so many, I had to make myself stop collecting.  After all they need a driveway.

They are so tiny.

I used a large glass container to display them...so I can collect more on my next visit.  My son-in-law said he would let me know next time he orders a load. :)

Dinner...

Pork chop, pineapple slice,  zucchini, carrots and celery over brown rice and an artichoke.
I was hungry and forgot to take a picture of my plate.  I ate the same without the pork chop.

Road Trip to Tampa

It was a beautiful morning for a road trip.

The mechanic, the son and I drove down to Tampa in the Oldsmobile.

After lunch my son-in-law surprised me with a Dragon fruit.  Evidently they are popular in Tampa. Addie thought it was pretty.

This is what it looks like cut open.  I really liked it. It has a mild flavor and the texture is like a kiwi.

After lunch my daughter and I went shopping at the International Mall.  She will start her new job Monday and wanted to pick up a few things.

While we were shopping...the grandchildren watched a movie.

and ate candy...from their uncle....

For dinner my son-in-law grilled Mahi-Mahi fillets.  He used caper and lemon as a marinate. It was delicious.

Connor and Addie had chicken nuggets instead of the fish.

We had a great visit.  We were lucky to have Stacy's friend, Jessica stop by for dinner and was able to take this family picture.

Tampa city view...driving home.

The mechanic likes to buy lottery tickets when we travel...as usual we didn't even get one number!
