Sunday

Early morning light...

We chopped down our Crape Myrtles at the shop cause they weren't doing good...
JT said they would come back...Elvin and I didn't believe it...looks like we were wrong and JT was right...

glad we didn't bet it it!

Looks like I might have to plant a piece of this ginger that has sprouted...everything wants to grow this time of year...

Gary and I did chores all weekend...This front entrance needed a lot of work.

Looking good...just needs to grow some.

Planted some Beefsteak tomatoes...we decide to plant one bed at a time and try not to crowd too many plants in one area like we have been. Here we are planting six tomato plants...last year this bed had 12!

looks like Gary has done all the work
but
i promise i did my share
😀

Dinner

salad

grilled teriyaki shrimp, roasted sweet and regular potatoes and roasted broccoli

Rains coming...

Wednesday

cold-windy-wet

Yesterday we had a photo shoot at the shop...

Our sister-in-law stopped by to take photos for our website...

The boys enjoyed posing.

Devin just received the new tool box he ordered...

I've been waiting weeks for the flowers on my chive plant to open...

better than eating food that we have grown is
seeing what they look like
while growing

Another thing we are learning is when to pick the food we are growing...

this pepper has been on the plant for weeks
Gary and i have debated on when to  pick it
I said sooner he said wait
today he picked it and brought it to me and said
you pick it when it has a bit of red
i agreed
Dinner...

salad

ground beef patties with brown rice, onion, mushrooms, garlic, tomatoes and yellow peppers

This one had blue interior instead of Gary's burgundy.  Only it didn't have a back seat!

Soaked one cup overnight...
