Saturday

Rainy morning...

Well the 1 1/2 inches of rain we got this morning made the yard soggy again...

Gary says i can't sit still and relax anymore
but this afternoon i spent at least an hour
sitting and watching a flock of robins playing and preening in the large puddles
in front of my windows
i counted at least 30 of them.
also had two woodpeckers flying around
my phone camera couldn't capture any of the fun

I did capture some bird sounds down at the lake...I guess the birds like wet 77 degree Florida weather!

Also had a staring contest with a squirrel...

i won

Chris took this photo after dinner...

baby water snake at our front door

Gary and I took a little trip into Gainesville to Dom's house

we replaced a toilet seat๐Ÿ˜

Dinner...

the twin's plate - spaghetti, garlic bread and salad
My spaghetti noodles are usually gummy...so Chris suggested I try adding a tad bit of oil in the water...

i wonder if oil floats around our blood stream like it does in water

TBT

TBT-  A few weeks ago Gary, Chris and I had a sleepover with the grandchildren at the Embassy Suite Hotel so Stacy and John could enjoy their yearly ugly Christmas sweater party.

We have stayed there several times and we all love the place...

It is spacious with a living room, kitchen and bedroom.  Gary had a bed and Addie and I shared a bed and Connor was very happy to sleep on the big comfortable chair...Chris had his own room.

Connor picked the Longhorn Steakhouse for dinner and Chris navigated us there...

Addie ordered mac and cheese with fruit - she didn't eat a bite!
We had had a large lunch and celebrated Christmas earlier.

Chris' selfie with his dad...

Connor's dinner order...

chicken tenders with fruit...
he ate every bite

plus he ordered a strawberry smoothie as an appetizer

We enjoyed a movie back at the hotel...

A customer gave us some Honey Bell oranges...

i added one in my salad

Of course Gary saved the seeds...

after he googled them and found out it can take up to 13 years for a tree to grow from seed to produce fruit
he decided maybe he would just put them in the compost pile

Grass-fed beef from Florida...

Gary grew up on a 7,000 acre cattle ranch near Ocala back in the 50's
all their cattle were pasture raised
and ate plenty of grass
