Sarah's blog

As promise I am providing the link to Sarah's blog.  Check it out, it is fun seeing the West through a Florida girl's eyes.  She takes amazing pictures...mountains, deserts, catus, butterflies, etc.
In a world of messed up kids, it warms your heart, and gives you faith in the future to see a young couple like Sarah and Nick.

Enjoy!

You know it getting cold in North Central Florida...when you bring the boots out.

So...I am a little burned out on cooking...the holiday's did me in. I am trying to get some healthy food in me and my mechanic before the next holiday...New Years!

My very favorite veggie tonight

baby artichokes-high in fiber

Growing up I lived in California for about six year. I remember my parents taking us on Sunday drives and seeing fields of planted artichokes. I also remember the walnut groves.  We spend many hours picking walnuts...which I also love.

This morning

I have enjoyed taking these early morning pictures. Before blogging I rarely walked down to see the morning. I feel like I am making up for lost time.

Monday morning --- I mean Wednesday

Back to work for the mechanic and I...one heck of a storm this morning...only lasted a couple of hours, lots of rain and wind.

The morning had a red glow, I couldn't capture it on my cell phone (red sky in morning sailor take warning...red sky at night sailor's delight.)

Beautiful cold evening

Christmas Eve morning

My favorite dead artist is Georgia O'Keeffe...I love her flower, skull and cloud paintings

this is what I saw this morning

My son painted this picture in high school...a copy of one of her paintings...love it

I used my Christmas gift given to me by the mechanic's twin, a nano-ceramic nonstick pan to make the mechanic an egg McMuffin for breakfast.  It replaces Teflon coding on cookware.  Suppose to be healthier, there is still debate on this.

Beautiful day...drove to town today to finish my shopping. I got to use my sun roof for the first time.

I love glass

translation I hate plastic...

Look Barb you can buy milk in a glass container at Wards

On another note, Barbara's daughter is home for the holidays.  Sara doesn't know but she is one of my inspiration for starting my blog.  She is a twenty something young lady who is very talented and has diverse interests.  She and her husband graduated from FSU, they now live out west as he is in a PhD program there.  Sara loves the outside and is a great photographer.  She has the most interesting job.  If she agrees I will share her blog address.

TGIF- 4 days off

Nancy Sniderman the doc reporter on NBC nightly news gave the following advice to stay young…
Take a walk outside every day in all weather conditions and hang out with young people.
So…after spending two days with the grandchildren…I feel young and refreshed….So I decided to take on learning how to download my camera pictures to my computer
My little camera is a Sony Cyber-shot, purchased at Sam’s by my mechanic.
These pictures were taken yesterday morning…a beautiful morning I might add.
