A deer at our front gate. She looked up when I clicked the shutter button on my camera. They sure have some sense of hearing as I was inside the house.

Tonight driving home...first rainbow I have seen in awhile. We will be having rain for the next few days.

Dinner tonight...

 Shrimp, tomatoes, squash, onions, mushrooms and Great Northern beans over couscous.

The weekend

Saturday...people out enjoying the lake.

The grand dogs came over for a visit.

Elvis can not swim but loves the water.

 Roast beef, mac and cheese, artichokes and a salad.

My size 5 feet in my son's size 12 shoes.

SUNDAY

Sunday was about chores and I took a long nap.

I tried out a new vinaigrette recipe using lemons left over from the oyster feast last week.

My mother bought me this nifty grater years ago.

The mechanic owned this green juicer before we got married. I have no idea where it came from, I guess from his first marriage, I have always liked it so it got to stay in my kitchen.

The mechanic loves his new grill.

Dinner...

Grilled chicken breast, pole beans with tomato and cucumbers, a lettuce and avocado salad.

Xavier - Happy 60th Birthday

Happy Birthday Big Brother!! Being Army Brats, he was always there to help me maneuver new schools, people and situations. He is one of the most interesting people I know. He is interested in everything and has a love of history, antiques and his family.

He is the best grandfather in Georgia..his latest grandson Ian.

The moon this morning...

My son went to one of Florida's Springs today...beautiful clear water.

This is the baby bird's nest at my brother's house...

The nest's opening is very small...very hard to get a picture as the babies are very small...or I don't know what I am doing:)

Dinner...

Mashed rutabaga, spinach, cucumbers and pork patties.

I am still playing with my camera...the moon last night.

The pool boy came out Saturday and fixed our pool cleaning system.

We have lots of woodpeckers here, I hope to get a picture of one, I tried this afternoon...no luck.  My mother called to say her bird eggs have hatched. I hope to get a good picture of baby birds tomorrow.
