Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas...

The boys and I had a nice and quiet Christmas...mainly it was all about food...

Broccoli and shrimp over rice with a side of lobster...

We are waiting for the grandchildren who will be here shortly...Christmas after Christmas...

This is what three inches of rain does to our lakefront...

I am usually done with my Christmas shopping by the 23rd...not this year! I was one of the million of people driving around stuck in insane traffic around Butler Plaza.

After my hectic day I was rewarded with the prettiest and largest double rainbow I've seen in many years!

It went from one side of the road to the other side...with brilliant colors...

Went to the shop to write checks...liked Devin's assortment of wire brushes...

Happy Solstice

Dreary morning...

Good day to do chores...pool girl duty...

I keep old school photos behind the framed ones.  Before hanging up the new year I had fun seeing the old photos to see how the grand-children have grown and changed...

TGIF

Days are getting shorter...

7:00 this morning

I thought Gary was doing very good walking up and down our driveway...

...but then he showed up at the shop driving his car😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

not sure that was a good idea Mr. Fisher
 Gary's just finished...

So does everyone take their mom Christmas shopping at the ABC?

I received my very much anticipated Christmas card from Stacy...mainly cause I was expecting the grand-children's school pictures...sure was surprised to also get a little gift of a dried up baby lizard! They know the key to my heart...

thanks guys...love it

The things you learn on Instagram...and people think scrolling on Instagram is a waste of time...

use part of your egg shell to capture a piece of shell that has fallen into the eggs
better results than using your finger or a spoon

Did you know Calvin and Hobbies has an Instagram account?

In case you are wondering if Gary and I have the Christmas spirit...well thanks to Connor and Addie who gave us a live little Christmas tree...the answer would be yes...

Wednesday

Since Gary can't mow and the leaves need to go if we want the grass to live...I've been raking!
Helps with my Fitbit tracking.  Tried blowing the leaves but they just seem to go everywhere but where I want them to go.

One leaf isn't so heavy...but a million of them not so...got a blister!

Gary says there's a few million more waiting to come down.

I'd hope to pick these bananas when they were ripe as our other ones tasted so good.  I kinda of forgot about them.

A few months ago I added some compost dirt to our new veggie beds as last season the plants were pretty but produced very little.  I figured our soil needed help. So I was pleasantly surprised to find this plant had germinated from a seed in the compost.

Just not sure what it is and if it will survive the cold that's coming.

Pool leak fixed...Amen...I look at it often just to make sure...not sure the big dead rat floating in the pool liked it full.

Photo from Chris...he knows I collect frog skeletons...this one is in someone's dash...I would not like to stare at that all the time while driving...I wonder what our techs would charge to remove it...probably a lot as they would have to remove the dash $$$.

I have never in the 45 years that I have known Gary...cooked a steak inside...on the stove...I've done it twice now...Not as good as Gary's grilling but not too bad.

Grapefruit season is upon us 😃😃😃

yes a pink grapefruit was harmed in making this salad
