TGIF

My son sent me this picture today...he saw a snake and squirrel fall from a tree 25 feet up.  The squirrel was losing the battle when Chris had to go back to work.  Later when Chris went back to look to see what happened he saw the squirrel's body minus the head.
The mechanic and I are done with our remodel.  Chris had a major water leak and is in the process of re-plumping his house. He had to have professional help to dry out his bedroom and master bath.

Our plumber, Charlie is on the job.  Chris will we without water for about a week.  We can sympathize with him.

Friday shopping haul from Wards...

Dinner...
Snow crabs, potatoes and kale.

The twin doesn't only build decks...he also makes furniture...he built me a microwave cabinet for my kitchen.  I needed a small one but couldn't fine the size I wanted on line. I also wanted it with wheels.  I love what he built and can't wait to load it up this weekend.

I'm still loving the new kitchen...I have lots of space to spread out.
Here I'm making the mechanic's favorite zucchini patties.  Grate two zucchinis...
x

add a little bit of minced onion, one or two eggs and what ever seasoning you like.
You should use a dish towel to squeeze the liquid out of the zucchini...during the week I don't bother...I just spoon it out.
Three minutes on each side.
Dinner...

Zucchini cakes with saute mushrooms and onions, a salad and grilled chicken.

Happy Earth Day!

My Earth Day view this morning...from my back yard!

According to the mechanic an hour later the fog rolled in and he couldn't see the lake from the house.

In honor of Earth Day an update on my avocado tree...and it's new little sibling.

Dinner...

Grilled cod packets (caper, tomatoes, mushrooms and green onions) spinach, artichoke, potato wedges and an avocado somewhere on the table.
