New Years Eve

Out with the old in with the new...my yearly calendar gift from Stacy.
Morning workout view from Dom's house...
Snap Chat from Stacy...
...they are camping for the New Year...

It's hard to see but we have a few green beans! Looks like the worms are being well fed so we don't expect a big crop.
and looks like the Brussels sprouts are budding out!
Broccoli is considered a super food!
Collard greens...local and organic...freshly picked by me!
My Instagram favorites...

I started blogging four years ago. Thanksgiving..2012, Stacy set up my blog and instructed me on the technical aspects of blogging.  I didn't have any idea what I wanted to accomplish as I am not a photographer or writer and a terrible speller. I started out wanting to document our daily lives for my grandchildren should they ever be interested. I committed  to a year. I did make a few rules for my self...no whining, no negative comments, no curse words, no unflattering pictures of myself or others and no political talk.
The photos tell the story for me. I mainly photograph landscapes as they are easy. People, children and animals are hard, as are indoor photos. Gary edits my blog nightly so all errors are his (ha ha).
Blogging daily has me living in the moment. I am always looking for something beautiful, interesting or unusual to share. When documenting our interests and daily activities I have learned my life is full, Gary and I may not travel or have a lively social life but we are happy and content. We love our home, our family and our shop.  My day isn't complete until my blog is done.
I want to thank my family and friends who follow the blog for their nice comments and encouragement that keeps blogging fun for me.
I also want to thank God for Gary's recovery earlier this year. I want to thank Chris for taking over the shop for his dad. Sales are up and customers are happy. We couldn't be prouder of him.  I want to thank the twin for his daily visits to the hospital so I could leave ICU and take care of the many things that needed my attention. He also took care of our home, yard and best of all, our pool!  In the three weeks Gary was in ICU he was never left alone. Thanks to Rick and Dom for their daily research on our options for Gary's care. Thank you Stacy for coming to stay with me...it meant the world to me.Thanks to my neighbor for her daily inquires and food. Thanks to my best friends Martha and Barbara who are always there for me. It does take a village. We love you all.

New Year's Dinner...
Meat loaf, yellow rice and our collard greens.

2016 was a rough year. I'm looking forward to 2017

No one on the road today...

Growing cabbage now!
Stacy let me borrow her Yonanas machine to see if I liked it before I bought myself one...
I used two frozen bananas and one cup of frozen blueberries...
Super easy to make...
I have to say...it was delicious...the only way to eat fruits!
