The mechanic and I are getting ready for a visit from the grand-kids and their parents.  They took a vacation to North Carolina to introduce the children to snow.  This picture which was taken in Georgia is my favorite.
This weekend my grandson will be five years old! I just finished making him peanut-butter bites (he calls them wheels).
Almonds, dates, peanut-butter, vanilla and Cinnamon.
the mechanic likes them too

The twin caught a 3lb large mouth bass after working on our deck.  (catch and release)
...and the mechanic brought me a bird nest with cracked eggs that one of our mechanic's found in the grill of a truck he was working on.

Saturday

Today was a work day for the mechanic and his twin...they hung the TV...

and the window shades in the kids bedroom...
...the twin also worked on the deck...

Did I mention he works for food...pot roast...cook beef and onions for an hour...
...add carrots, celery and potatoes and cook for another hour.
And how many TVs does it take to watch a basketball game or any sports in our home...

The grand-kids are visiting their Georgia cousins and having a ball...

and with their parents...my niece and nephew...
...finally a one pound speck from the twin.

Wednesday

This morning just before I was leaving the house I spotted a deer in the yard.  So I grabbed my camera and was 10 minutes late to open FAR. These pictures were taken from behind the new windows.

Love the morning clouds over the pecan grove.
...and yes that is a snake in the twin's house...

That's me enjoying the sunset indoors as I was too lazy to walk down to the lake.  I am also admiring how fast the deck is going up and thinking how glad I am to have my computer in this spot.

Dinner...
Sausage with green bell pepper, onions and bok choy and sauteed sweet and regular baked potatoes.
Salad, green bell pepper, onions and bok choy and sauteed sweet and regular baked potatoes.

The deck is coming along nicely...the mechanic is checking out his twin's progress.

Can you see the deer tracks?

My mother made chicken soup...the chicken and broth from pot one goes into pot two, which has all the good seasoning simmering.

Dinner...
Beef tenderloin (rare), kale with pumpkin.

Me...I could eat an artichoke every night.

The mechanic loves LED lights, so when he was at Lowe's he found a hat with LED lights inserted in the bill...light with no hands needed.
...and the twin took a few minutes from deck building to fish...

I found these pictures in my camera...I guess the mechanic liked the colors he saw...and took a few pictures!

Dinner...
Eggplant, onion, red bell pepper and yellow squash over soba noodles...and an artichoke.

Same as above but a tuna steak instead of the artichoke
