this morning wasn't all that picture worthy

So at 1:00 Sunday morning we had a nice storm...brought down this huge cypress tree. We also had several large branches come down from different trees in the yard. Luckily none around the house. 

The cypress tree also took down a couple of lake front trees...

I was surprised on the small root system this tree had for as large as it was.

Also left me with a messy pool to clean 😖

We lost power for about 3 hours...4 and a half inches in two days...

Boiled eggs under the hood 😕

I've become a kitchen gadget person in my old age...salad scissors!

where you bake extra potatoes
then you shred them 
and have hash potatoes the next day or so

hash brown potatoes and chicken strips

I also scored some grapefruits from my Georgia sister in law...

Way to go Tampa Bay and the Buccaneers!!!

 

for those asking
mom is doing much better
and
i've been back home for a week

Sure did miss our lake...and the country.

Both G. and mom received their covid vaccine from Shands...in a parking garage.

During this time at mom's I switched to fiction for awhile...I enjoyed this author and her Alaskan stories.

I also had a few snapchat selfies from Addie's morning school commute. 

So while I was busy at mom's...Chris grew a beard...

...and Stacy had a birthday!
