One day in the life of the mechanic...

The mechanic's shop dropped the engine, transmission and complete front end assembly and cradle in a Cadillac Hearse.  They had to separate the engine from the transmission to fix an oil pan leak.

The motor is on top, the transmission is on your left and the left strut is in front.

This was a 20 hour job... $2,000 bill.

Dinner tonight...one of our new favorite vegetables.  This is a organic Romanesco Cauliflower...the mechanic likes this better than traditional cauliflower. It doesn't have a strong odor when cooking and has a milder taste.

Romanesco cauliflower with mushrooms, beans, and onions over Couscous.  I added the last of the left over chicken used in making my stock last Sunday.  We have been lucky, one of the mechanic's customers keeps bringing us her home grown lettuce.

I saw a hawk this morning.  This one was not on the lake but in town.
