My third orchid bloom...I was in a hurry this morning (had to get to work) so the picture is blurry. But I have learned outside pictures turn out better!
I like this one because it has several stems. I never had one of my plants with more than one stem. More stems more flowers.
The large ceder trees were planted by the mechanic and his twin when we first bought our property. They were little 2 inch seedlings. They are now about 30 to 40 feet tall. We have lived here for 36 years and have seen many changes. We were the the young people...now we are the old timers!
The airport this morning...
Dinner tonight...
Barbecue pork chop, broccoli with Parmesan cheese, potatoes with butter and garlic and a salad.

Wednesday
Cute frog on my sliding glass door this morning. I watched it while walking on my treadmill.
I love skulls and skeletons...I have a small collection...this is one of my frog skeletons.
My boss declared that we are officially in tax season...I am working earlier every morning and later every evening and weekends...Lots more traffic to deal with when you leave earlier...and lots of Big Trucks.
Dinner tonight...
I felt like a soup, so I made calabaza soup. Steak for the mechanic. Salad...avocado...asparagus.
Dinner will be quick and easy these days as I will be coming home late.

Still feeling a bit under the weather.
You know I feel bad when I do drugs....
My son and his boss put in a reverse osmosis water system in my kitchen. Our well water for the pass 36 years has been great. I guess with the drought we have more iron so the water tastes terrible.
The little spout is where the water comes out. I love my sink! It is an old farm sink...huge! Now time to call Charlie the plumber for a new faucet.
Dinner tonight...
Wild sockeye salmon, sweet potato cubes with cinnamon and kale.
Tried out my new spice on the salmon.

Super Bowl Sunday
The mechanic and I had a low key day...No super bowl parties for us...we both have to work tomorrow and I have been under the weather for a week now...I am just starting to feel better.
We spotted our Clivia plant in bloom in our make-shift winter greenhouse.
In honor of the super bowl ...
And of course dinner...
We spotted our Clivia plant in bloom in our make-shift winter greenhouse.
| Clivia's usually boom later but in the warm greenhouse they bloom early for us. The original plant was from the mechanic's grandmother. |
| This plant is called an Alligator plant, it was given to us by one of the mechanic's customers. The leaves give the plant it's name. |
