Monday

Delicious fried chicken...I use corn meal instead of flour, this makes the chicken very crispy...the mechanic fries it outside as not to mess up the stove and to avoid the odor.

If you haven't checked out Sarah's blog you are missing some beautiful butterfly and orchid pictures.

TGIF

Today was cold and very windy...I have a new respect for photographers...it's not easy to take nature pictures.  I was trying to take a picture of my wind chine swinging in the wind.  Not so easy...this is the best I could do.

and the Spanish moss was blowing...hard to capture.

Had lunch with my oldest friend Martha...Who else but a good friend brings pitted cherries to your lunch date...

We ate our lunch outside in the sunny, cold, windy day.  Thornbrooke Village

Tomatoes, dates and my pitted cherries.

The mechanic enjoying some of my cherries.  Me... reading People magazine...Life is good!

Morning Suprise

See Sarah, Florida has blooming cactus! What a treat to see this morning.

Also, I babysit my son's orchids during the winter...they are starting to bloom one at a time.

The fog this morning was as thick as pea soup. Still in the 80's by afternoon.

Grandchildren

I have finally resolved my blog computer issue and am now able to download pictures.  These are from when  the mechanic and I went to visit the grandchildren at Christmas.

Addie almost 2 years old

 Connor almost 4 years old

Stacy, their beautiful mother and my daughter

I always try to have Connor take a picture of me so he can learn to take pictures and I can be in the pictures.  Mothers tend not to be in very many photos.  He is getting very good, this time our faces made it in the photo.

This was a very cool Christmas present my daughter received from a friend of hers.  Her friend inserted tiny lights inside the bottle and cut a hole at the bottom for the plug. Loved it.

Dinner tonight...

Red Snapper fillet, green bean and asparagus salad and leftover bake potato sauteed in butter with onions.
