HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Happy Thanksgiving to all...it rained all day here in North Central Florida...

Gary started the day with a treat...

With the nasty weather Gary and my mom's arthritis  pains were off the chart...so mom and Dom didn't make it for dinner...and Chris was in charge of carving the turkey...helping his dad all these years paid off as he did a great job...

Dinner...

Turkey, gravy, mash potatoes, dressing, salad and rolls.

Jan was in charge of dessert...

Pecan pie, Apple pie and Pumpkin pie.

This morning I went with Dom to Dr. Stoer's office for him to have a small spot removed from his nose...I think it should be forbidden to decorate an office before Thanksgiving! They did do a beautiful job...if I do say so...

The twin sent these photo's of an accident in front of our lime-rock road...hope no one was hurt...Thanksgiving traffic can be fatal...

Can you tell I follow a lot of vegan's on Instagram...

Mom wanted me to buy her some beets...they came with greens attached...so I used her beet green tops in my morning green juice...very nice!

Loving the red hibiscus blooms...maybe I should try juicing the flowers😀😀😀

 So this is how you dress in Florida! Cold in the morning hot in the afternoon...

Sometimes we plug tires...

Gave Chris another knife to sharpen...this one a little bit bigger...

Mom doesn't drink wine anymore but she can't resist buying her favorite French wine...just to have...in case...

Chris is sharpening my knives as his contribution to the holiday...

Connor spent his on spicy boiled peanuts...too spicy for me!

Addie loves the kitchen...here she is making corn bread...it was delicious but she wouldn't eat it!

Sometimes when I see a donut I think of my mother. She worked in a donut shop for a few years while we lived in Miami.  My dad provided us with all we needed but my mother always liked having her own money...not having to answer for all she spent.  She went to work at 3:30 in the morning to "make the donuts". She has also cleaned houses, babysat, worked in a deli, worked in factories, worked at Walmart and made donuts...get the picture...she always had an emergency fund...and most importantly raised three fine children!

 It's not always work with no play...hat day at the shop?
