I love walking this time of year...

It was a year ago yesterday that mom passed away...

mom was 60 years old here
with her youngest 
 grandchild

I'm trying to read more lately...mainly for escape.  Loved both of these library books.

 This wind we have been having brought down a small oak tree at the homestead...

...also having pool pump issues 😟

Did some end of the quarter shop paperwork this afternoon.  

Gary is enjoying his new iPad table... 

Made spaghetti tonight...I like using red peppers instead of green peppers in the sauce...

I've been buying tomato paste in a tube...but squeezing the tube is harder than opening a can and scoping the paste out...so not sure why I keep buying the tube.

Yep...I still have a large salad every night...

Stopped by the shop this afternoon to pick up end of the month paperwork...Aaron is replacing a sub-frame assembly for a vehicle what was in a wreck.

I prefer to use a blender than an immersion blender...I like the texture better and I don't like chasing the food with the immersion blender 😁

Chris has started walking to gain back some stamina. Tonight we encountered a friendly bunny.

We figure it must be a lost pet.

After Chris' doctor's appointment we went to the fish store so he could buy new fish for his aquarium...

So many beautiful fish to chose from...glad I didn't have to decide...

If you are looking for frozen mice...they sell those as well. 😖

Soup of the day...acorn squash...Chris and I agreed it's our favorite so far! The mushroom soup didn't agree with his tummy.

These spices add so much flavor to the soup...cinnamon, paprika, nutmeg, salt and pepper.

Chris' soup today is cream of mushroom...he said it tasted like Campbell's cream of mushroom...

I'll take that as a compliment. 

This is another kitchen gadget...silicone gizmo to pull or push the oven racks...works great.

Gainesville stayed a sleepy college town for so many years...not so now. Highrise's are all around the University.
