We had a section of our pool deck raised. We are in the process of fixing up our pool which was installed in 1994. The deck will be redone along with resurfacing the pool. But first we had to have a section lifted. Insurance company did not like the 6" difference.

They drill holes and pump foam into the holes.

Hard to see in photo but there is a 6" difference....they couldn't level it completely as they were afraid of braking old pipes.
