Wednesday

This morning...

We are a house divided!  I like romain lettuce and the mechanic likes red leaf. So I bought some bibb lettuce, which happens to be my mother's favorite.

Dinner...Meatless Wednesday.

Portobello mushrooms stuffed with roasted tomatoes and eggplant; fried brown rice with veggies and a salad.

My food never looks like the recipe pictures.  The sides of the mushrooms fell after a few minutes under the broiler.  The recipe called for goat cheese, but it was meatless Wednesday so I substituted roasted eggplant.  The mechanic liked them, that's all that mattered.
