Wednesday

It was a cool 46 degrees this morning...

Since I had to wait at the print shop for a new calendar I wondered over to the Kitchen and Spice store at Thornbrook...I've seen this gadget on Instagram and thought since I now grow herbs and eat lots of kale I might like it.

Works on kale next I'll try some Rosemary...

Pumpkins are everywhere...

Elvin is adding fuel injection on this '72 Toyota  F.J. Land Cruiser...

Dinner...

Chicken cooked in orange juice, fried potatoes and a tomato salad for Gary.

Salad

I have been thinking about changing the grand-kids sleeping arrangements for a while now...I came up with bean bags that turn into beds.

They come shrink wrapped...Boy did I wrestle with these bags...

...you have to pound and throw them around and let them sit for 24 hours to loosen them up.

The kids loved them.  Connor was ready for bed but Addie wanted to show me her Bat-girl jump.

 They also liked them as chairs...

So the plan is at night they will be beds and during the day the kids can take them out to the living room and sit on them.  I will stack them up to store them.

The guys don't really like VW's but I love the color contrast in the interior...plus I'm a big fan of the wood panel...

Dinner...

Pork rounds, fried rice with zucchini, peas, corn and onions.

Salad

I picked a few worms off the tomatoes plants...I hate stomping on them...

...so I took them down to the lake to feed the fish...I didn't hang around to watch as it was raining.

I added a beet to my morning juice...and if you look closely you will see my organic cucumber came with a worm...truly organic! The carrot and bell peppers were for my lunch snack.

Loved the sweetness of the beet!

Ward's had this plant in the Brussels sprouts section...I brought it home and went to plant it...well the little stick said it was a cabbage plant...I texted my brother Xavier for help...funny at 63 I don't know what my food looks like growing!

Dinner...

Gary - angle hair noodles with peas, red kidney beans, onions and leftover chicken.

Me - whole wheat noodles with portobello mushrooms, peas, onions and red kidney beans.

Salad with zucchini and cashew dressing.

It took forever to clean the kitchen tonight...baked muffins, cooked beans in the instapot,boiled noodles for Gary then some for me, washed tons of lettuce, ground up some dehydrated spinach, made salad dressing...get the picture!😬😫😁

Sunday

Looks like the crew team thought I might start rowing...they left this buoy to float to our dock...

Oh so blurry! oh well I won't quit my day job...I worked all day at the shop so a quick BLT for Gary.

Saturday

Early this morning I had a fun treat...I guess it was UF's crew team...they took over our lake...they were everywhere...it was a beautiful morning...

I shot a couple of short videos...

Chris went home today...the house is quiet after a week of kids in the house!  He is doing very well and was ready to go home! He did get to help me save this little lake turtle from our pool...
