My mother made a Pot-au-feu today...boy the house smelled good. That French woman can cook.

My son and his boss stopped by our house today to change out our Reverse Osmosis filter.  I think it needed it.

On the way they saw some cool buzzards.

Sunday

I was under the weather yesterday...so I mostly stayed in bed...I enjoyed several cups of tea with honey.

...I did get up and make me a split pea soup as the mechanic only grills.

 The deer were out in the Pecan grove this morning.

 As I feel 100% better today...I started getting ready for Thanksgiving by washing the good dishes and wine glasses.

Meanwhile my granddaughter was busy making decorations with her other grandma.

Nice to see that safety is a priority with my granddaughter.

 Connor is enjoying his snow crabs.

Connor's grand-grandmother DeDe would love to have a tennis player in the family as she was an avid  tennis lover.

Dinner...turnips with their greens.

These almost look like black and white pictures. I am glad we aren't having tornadoes like some parts of the country.

The morning started out beautiful and the day ended cloudy and rainy.

 The squirrels are enjoying eating the cedar berries and making a mess of our driveway.  Good thing the mechanic likes to blow the concrete driveway.

My first attempt with a video...guess what...it doesn't work.  I guess I will be calling my daughter for technical support.  I was trying to capture how windy it has been today.

I just finished this audio book...Louise Erdrich is one of my favorite authors.  She is a Native American who lives in Minnesota and also owns a bookstore.  I saw her interview with Bill Moyer years ago, she is one interesting woman.

My dad...many years ago.  He served in Korea and Vietnam.  He was in the Army 30 years. Happy Veterans Day to all Veterans!
