TGIF

With all this wind it seems like all I do is pick up moss (and scoop leaves out of the pool)
                                                                    🌀😖

A couple of buddies of Elvin and Devin dropped by to show them this tiny Mitsubishi...

Plus the steering wheel is on the passenger side.  It's for sale...I wondered out loud who would buy it and was told they already had three offers.

It's so tiny next to my Acura...

Our oldest customer (95) stopped by cause she had a nail in her tire.  I asked her the secret to living long and healthy...being single was her answer! She lives alone, does all her own housework, cooking, accounting and oversees her three rentals...and of course still drives.

Mom and I went to Hospice thrift store this afternoon. We had fun but mom and I both agreed their prices were way too high!

JT is experimenting wearing a new uniform shirt...lighter weight and a more absorbent material...

The boys current uniform is black and hot...

Elvin sold his very expensive 2019 F350 diesel truck.  He bought this $300 vehicle to drive for a short while as he really wants to remodel the kitchen in the fixer upper house he recently bought.

He says he feels like he is channeling Gary...old car..Fisher hat and cool glasses!

Baking day at the lake...

green dehydrated crackers

corn bread

Gary's muffins

Dinner...

too tired to make a salad

I always think of Connor when I see a critter cause he would want a jar and take it home!

Someone is already thinking about the weekend...

Just finished this book and with the Sackler brothers and Purdue Pharma in the news these days this was an interesting read. Spoiler alert...it's all about money!

Went to the library and picked this up for Gary...

It looks like a fun read...

...and this audio book for me...

...and after a depressing opioid book I thought I would go straight into this happy book😟

Dinner...been in a end of a hot summer cooking slump...

salad
This time of year we eat with the sun on our faces and plates...

London broil, rice noodles with tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and snow peas and a piece of sweet potato

We have had some colorful mornings and evenings lately...and wind.

I returned an unwanted item that mom had ordered from Amazon. For easy and free returns you just drop off the item at Kohl's department store. They package and ship it for you.  So very easy and they give you a 20 % coupon off of a purchase.  Great marketing! Win Win for all.

yes i did purchase several items
Read this interesting article in an automotive trade magazine...loved these graphics.

Gary and I didn't take a vacation for 11 years! We should have read this sooner!

This windy weather has us on our pool game...leaves everywhere.

I drove mom to the pulmonary doctor to get her lungs checked out.  She seems to have good lung capacity.  I told the tech it's from yelling at her kids 😁all those years ago!

The shop is busy as the days are hot...a/c not cooling and overheating happening.

Chris bought me this mini battery charger that can jump start a vehicle and charge up devices. I didn't want it thinking I wouldn't ever use it and at $80 I didn't want him to spend the money.  But I sure was glad when we lost power (not storm related) and my cell phone had 10% power left.

Now charged up and ready for the other three hurricanes lurking in the Atlantic Ocean...

This vehicle needed a battery.  That is a $260 battery plus $90 labor!A Mini-Cooper S.

After Elvin found the battery he had to remove many parts to get to it...What you get in interior space you lose under the hood space.

Not sure what Devin was doing but it was a hot day and he looked very hot inside this vehicle...

Sun and no rain predicted for the next few days!
