Sunday

The mechanic and I took Chris out to dinner and a movie (The Hobbit). This was to make up for missing Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner due to his illness. He is feeling much better now.

This is a piece of art that the city has displayed in front of the restaurant. I'm not really sure what it is but it's art.

I'm trying to make bone soup. My doctor recommended I eat more of this kind of food.  I found a slow cooker recipe...which was easy. Bones of any kind (I had bones of a whole chicken and two beef soup bones) carrots, celery, onion and parsley...slow cooked for 20 hours.
 Finished product...and quite tasty.

 Dinner...
Salmon cooked in white wine and orange juice and oranges
Salad!
I went to the shop to do a little end of the year book work.  The flowers are enjoying the warm humid weather!

Happy New Year!

Welcome 2015!

The new calendar went up...thanks Stacy!
The holidays have been warm but overcast and rainy...

The maple trees have finally lost all their leaves...

Opposites attracts...the mechanic loves navel oranges and I love grapefruits.

It was nice receiving a picture from Chris...he is much better now and back at work. Looks like this turkey survived the holidays!
 Dinner...
Baked chicken, millet pasta with tomatoes, eggplant, onions, mushrooms, ricotta cheese and garlic bread.

I'm still trying to find the perfect ceramic slow dripper...one cup coffee maker...hope this one is the one. The one I am currently using is plastic...and we all know how much I hate plastic!

I just received this picture from Stacy...she was trying out her Christmas gift from us....these are zoodles...the slicers makes veggies into different shapes...I think I like this new gadget.

 Dinner...
Grass fed ground beef patties with red bell peppers, mushrooms and onions, green beans and a salad.

Happiness...receiving a great Christmas morning picture from our daughter... looks like Santa did a good job with this year's presents...

Beautiful color on the lake this evening...

Someone remembered it was a Christmas Cactus...
It still looks like fall in North Central Florida...

My camera likes to take random shots...
 Dinner...
Fried bass, mash potato cakes, salad and an artichoke.
...and this was dinner...thanks to the twin...delicious...and fresh...

The mechanic and I are enjoying these four days off...doing lots of...

Christmas came early for us...
We gave Connor a glass bottle and $25 in pennies.  It's not to early to start saving for college I told him.

A heart monitor for training for marathons.
Addie had fun helping her dad open his presents.

...and a gift from the twin!
Chris couldn't be here but we brought him back his gift. Connor and Addie helped Mommy with all the Christmas wrapping.
 Someone liked the big present.
