 The mechanic and I enjoyed our annual overnight sleepover with the grandchildren while their parents held their ugly sweater Christmas party.

We had a great room on the fifteenth floor of the Embassy Hotel. Addie and I watched a wedding taking place beside the pool.

We walked the mall...and the grandchildren played at the mall's kids play area.

 We also have a tradation of taking the grandchilden to Target to pick out a toy.
Connor put a lot of thought in his choice.

 Addie knew what she wanted and insisted on carrying her toy herself.

Dinner at the hotel

I had a salad...one of the best!

Addie had chicken tenders...Connor had grilled chicken.

The mechanic had a steak. Delicious, he said!

The girl's rowing team works out early in the mornings...even in the fog.

Dinner...

Marinated petite beef shoulder roast grilled with onions, broccolini with mushrooms and tomatoes and sweet and regular mashed potatoes.

When the grandchildren visit one of them usually likes to grab my camera and take pictures....I always enjoy seeing what they find interesting....Connor's view...

Grilled drumsticks, string beans with mushrooms, home fried potatoes, beets and a artichoke....and a salad somewhere...

Today has been such a dreary overcast day,  I looked for color to brighten up the day.

This is our yard yesterday before the twin came over and mowed the leaves.

The twin's been busy...

I've been busy rapping presents...

...and making soup...pumpkin soup is labor intensive.
