Sunday

My week-end walk around...
The pine cone lillies are starting to turn red.

It's hard to see but there is a turtle in the water.

The sun was so bright this morning and the turtle was moving fast.

I saved a skink from the pool.

We are still waiting for the windows...this week I hope.

That's me watching the Roomba do my housecleaning. :)

Lunch...
It's been awhile since I had twin yolks.

Scrambled eggs, avocado and tomato sandwich
Evening clouds

Saturday

It was foggy this morning but it turned into a beautiful day.
The one good thing about remodeling...since the house is in disarray...I don't feel the need to do much housework.
So...the mechanic who knows I love weeding put me to work pulling out dead grass from our yard.
St. Augustine is such a finicky grass.
This afternoon...
My son and grand-dogs came over for dinner and the Gator game!

Frog legs...
and macaroni and cheese and a salad.

We are still waiting for our new windows...word is maybe tomorrow...meanwhile critters are living in the temporary visqueen windows.
Our four year old grandson is into pumpkins this year...we received another pumpkin picture...freehand this time. We love it.
I wish he could see my cute little pumpkins I just purchased.

My view this morning...at the airport.
I saw this truck on my way to work this morning that was so very black and shiny you can see the reflection of the roadside trees behind me.
Dinner...meatless Thursday!
Portabella mushroom with onions, red and green peppers, shredded yellow squash, carrots and spinach over couscou

Wednesnday

I forgot to mention yesterday, that October is my favorite month, not just because it is my birth month, but because most days we have beautiful weather here in Florida.  Not exactly Fall but for us the best we will get.
Some mornings it is hard to leave this place.
My son-in-law sent me this picture that my grandson colored.  I must say he sure did stay in the lines.
These two pictures are from my son on his way to work...

Dinner
Steak, potatoes, mashed cauliflower and shredded zucchini.

Every few years one of our Banana trees produces bananas.
The mechanic took these pictures at night using his new nifty LED flashlight as background lighting.

Dinner...
Maui Mahi, acorn squash, kale with onions and red bell peppers.
Acorn squash, kale, and beet with avocado         .
My son has been experimenting with his crock pot.  He found you could buy all you need in one easy package.
...and after 8 hours...dinner is ready!
