Sunday

Love this dry leaf I found in my yard.

The mechanic and I are happy with the new variety of St. Augustine grass we had put in last year.  It is slow growing and seems to be resistant to bugs, which we have plenty of in Florida.

Also, the roses are looking good.

I need to make a correction.  I labeled the twin's latest catch as a Large Mouth Bass when it really was a Sunshine Bass...My bad!  This is a two pound Large Mouth Bass.

Saturday

Busy Saturday for everyone...Yard work for us...Mowing...weed-eating...and blowing...

The mechanic has been mowing over the road side wild onions for years...so he decided we should try eating some...maybe we will...

Also, the joys of owning a pool...issues...the mechanic tried to fix them...but it looks like we will be calling the pool boy to fix the problem.

It's a good thing the pool is solar heated...the water was 82 degrees. I only swim when the water is at least 86 degrees.

The mechanic's sister and brother-in-law went to the beach and sent us these pictures...

The twin had a tree problem again...his club car wench was able to help bring down a tree that was leaning over his neighbor's fruit tree...

TGIF

My view this morning...deer mowing our grass...

We had a mini party at work...our temps last day. Cupcakes from Fresh Market.

Dinner tonight...

Steak, mashed sweet potatoes and spinach.

And after dinner... wine and People magazine, all is good.

I received a cute picture of my foodie granddaughter in her new kitchen.  She sure is growing up fast.

Passed a sign on my way to work this morning...Reminded me of work.

I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought a new pepper mill.  My old one (20 years old) quit grinding.  My daughter suggested I also get a salt grinder.  So I did.

The twin's catch of the day...a two pound large mouth bass.

And to show his softer side...his Mr. Lincoln.

Dinner...

Lamb chop, okra and onions served over couscous.

After dinner the lake was so calm I walked down there to check it out.

Wednesday

I see lots of big semi trucks driving on my way into town.  This one was hauling big colorful digging machinery.

I would love to capture a plane when I drive pass the airport...so far this is the best I can do.  Our town is not known for a great airport.

Well, I can't believe it but my mother's bird nest has yet another egg.  I didn't know birds laid eggs so many days apart.

And the twin sent this picture...his first Magnolia flower.  The boys mother's favorite Mother's day gift from the twin.

Dinner tonight...

Salmon with onions, mashed cauliflower and avocado.

And someone needs to dust the house this weekend!

I was in a lazy mood this morning, so I stopped my workout early to take pictures. Morning pictures are so easy and usually come out good.

Of course I went down to the lake...

Then I check on the shells my daughter gave me.  The previous owner left them at her house.  She knows I love shells...plus they had been sprayed with perfume and smelled like a french whore! This is why I am leaving them outside in the sun for a very long time.

One of our white Amaryllis bloomed.

Queen Elizabeth this morning...

Queen Elizabeth this afternoon...

Dinner...

Pork chop, mash potatoes, corn, broccoli and zucchini. I had an artichoke and salad instead of a pork chop.
