Tuesday

My view this morning...pecan grove...

We were in Tampa Saturday, lots of colorful flowering shrubs there...very little in North Florida.

Hair cut and new shirt...ready for work!

Dinner tonight...can you guess which dish is the mechanic's

Mustard greens, mashed rutabaga and barbecue pork chop

I'm not sure why one picture turned out so red. They were both taken at the same place, same angle, same time...same everything...I have a lot to learn about taking pictures!

And later I will curl up with my new book.

Technical difficulties are keeping me from uploading pictures of the grand kids...not sure what is happening...I think its the blog people not me.

So this was my was my view going to work this morning...the airport.

It was worth going to work today...treat Mississippi Mud Brownies! Boss's birthday.

My friend Barbara and I are reading...

So if two people are reading the same book...does that make us a book club...and are cheese and wine mandatory? Can we talk about the book as we are reading it or do we have to finish it first?

Books...Audio Books...Ted Talks

I just finished reading How Children Succeed by Paul Tough... They succeed with skills like perseverance, curiosity, optimism, self control, conscientiousness etc...

Also, my friend Martha recommended I watch Ken Robinson on Ted Talks...he talks about how schools kill creativity in kids. Here Martha home schooled her children.

I love audio books especially fiction. I have a 30 minute commute to work so it works for me.
I just finished Summerland by Elin Hilderbrand. A family saga set in Nantucket. Lots of beach and food talk.
